An independent local guide
San Antonio Top Foods is an independent guide to where San Antonio eats — from barbecue, Tex-Mex and breakfast tacos to pho, sushi, brunch and paletas — organized by category and by side of town: North, South, East, West and Central.
How we pick
- Well reviewed. We look for restaurants that local diners consistently rate highly across a large number of public reviews.
- Locally owned. We favour independent, local and family-run restaurants over national chains.
- Currently open. We check that each restaurant is open when we add it, and we remove places that close.
Free listings, no paid placements
Every listing on this site is free. Restaurants cannot pay to be included, to be ranked higher or to be featured. We do not run sponsored listings.
What we publish
For each pick we list the name, type of food, area, address and a short description. Menus, prices and hours change often, so please check with the restaurant directly before you go.
